You're getting braces at the best time possible since the technology has come a long way. Make sure your Ortho uses self ligating ceramics, they're top notch

If you do get surgery never let them do a 2 piece. 3 piece or nothing. I regret my 2 piece.

Im getting metal brace on top, a plastic thingy on the bottom

The surgery itself is a breeze. The recovery can be challenging but passes quickly. The hardest for me was accepting the things I didn't like and moving on
