Only real downside is the inconsistent possibility of getting welts. I've tried everything including adding extra water, longer needle and bigger gauge, and still get the random welt

Someone suggested I use PBS but I've found I get less irritation if I use pure water

It's reagent grade water that I push through a 0.1um filter

But I've gone between pure water and saline and I find saline gives me more issues
