Possible allodynia solution?
I saw a post on Reddit today, Reta user struggling with skin sensitivity. Antihistamines (Claritin, Allegra, etc.) were not effective. Their research led to fibromyalgia treatments-apparently they also deal with allodynia. Long story short, user states 600mg Extended Release Guaifenesin (yes, the expectorant) was effective. Just capsules of pure Guaifenesin with nothing else added, and Extended Release being key. I'll give it a try.
🤷
Mine totally went away after a while tbh. Only experienced skin sensitivity for a bit. Zinc supplementation, claritin, thiamine can possibly help. Biggest change is just going to be less inflammation though. Lifestyle, diet, antioxidants, etc. systemic inflammation effects the skin too
