anyone had thyroid pain/issues on reta? My mom is on it and is having trouble swallowing with neck pain.

I did or so I thought. I went to the doctors, turns out I got silent reflux from reta. The issues came from the stomach acid damaging my throat. Had to come off and take reflux medication for a month than it got better.

Im gonna try tirzepatide next hoping the side effects won't be as harsh on me

GLP-1’s can cause acid reflux. Has nothing to do with diet

Diet is 99% of the time the cause, you can see in the studies those that followed a strict controlled diet had far less sides overall than those that did not follow a diet
.

Feel free to cite these. I’ve read thru STEP (Sema), SURMOUNT (Tirz), and Triumph (Reta) studies and this was never concretely observed. I did overstep in that of course diet can and does cause acid reflux, but the use of GLP-1’s alone can too

Triz harsher in the side affects eat a healthy non acidic diet without a bunch of grease you’ll be fine
