It was Easter, everywhere in the world has bank holidays but America, unfortunately for you that means everywhere else don't work.
Depends on the bank. They’re federal holidays, so generally they are paid days off
Depends on your job/industry/where you are in the company.
Example:
On presidents day I'm the asshole with a paid day off going to buy a mattress (don't ask me why it's kinda tradition, Google it) then returning it a week later when my dog takes a piss on it.
