It's unfortunate that black and white responses like this are now the norm in this space when there is so much nuance, and each person, their goals, health, needs, and risks are totally different.
It's repeated so much that everyone just assumes it to be true, when it just isn't.
HGH is more powerful which comes with its own risk profiles. Secretagogues are more regulated and have a much milder risk profile for those who want to lower their risks.
What is someone wants to keep their natural production? GH is only a single isoform vs the multi isoform your own body produces with some other smaller fragments and variants.
What if someone is looking for a longevity lens and doesn't want a chronically elevated IGF nor do they not want a chroniclly elevated mTOR profile that puts them at risk for insulin resistance, tumor acceleration, and other aging issues?
This is all dependent on dose, but can also be mitigated by the body as the secretagogues are way more regulated and are way less likely to push people into chronically elevated downstream levels of shit that maybe risky for them.
There are so many more differences between the two that are dependent on the person, their goals, history, health, etc.
To paint one or the other as the only valuable route would be unfair from either one of us
